Current Projects

In the earthquake-affected regions of Turkey, a significant population face numerous challenges in accessing clean water. Since 2023, our dedicated efforts have been focused on a mission to address the water crisis, and thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are getting closer to our objectives every day.

Türkiye Earthquake in February 2023

• 2023 Türkiye Earthquake, 500km Fault line with 14m people impacted with mostly displaced and relocated
• 50k lost lives, over 100k wounded, 200k buildings collapsed in 11 cities
• 1.61m citizens displaced in the epicenter with 2/3 of the city destroyed
• An area 2.7 times the size of Switzerland was impacted

Sustainable Water Project in Hatay

We have a long-term, 3 phases, sustainable water project in Hatay, with the ultimate aim to build the first sponge city in Turkey.

Phase 1: Revitalizing the Asi River and WASH Programs 

• In collaboration with Hacettepe University in Ankara, and in partnership with local and international foundations, we are committed to cleansing the Asi River bed. The restoration process is scheduled to reach its conclusion in 2024, guaranteeing the availability of clean water sources for the local community.
• Additionally, we are initiating Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) education programs within the local community, to increase social awareness and strategic water knowledge in partnership with other foundations active in Hatay Governorate and neighbouring cities along with international foundations and partners

Completed Projects

Education & Health

• Supplied and distributed stationery materials to pre-school and primary school students living in container cities in Malatya, in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
• Procured art and stationery materials for women and children who migrated from the earthquake-stricken area to Ankara, in collaboration with Ankara Yenimahalle Public Education Center.
• Supplied books, toys, and stationery materials for the tent pre-school in collaboration with the Osmaniye Directorate of Family and Social Services.
• Supplied furniture, stationery, and toys for the tent pre-school in collaboration with the Malatya Directorate of Family and Social Services.
• Procured and supplied all furniture, toys and carpet fittings for the container pre-school and primary school in Karatas, Adana in collaboration with Idea Universal who supplied the students with smart tablets with educational modules and collaborated with the Ministry of Education
